As you are aware IceCold-WoW has been on a downfall for quite sometime now, due to the lack of content being created the population of IceCold-WoW has slowly decreased. As a result of that our donations took a massive hit. Who's to blame? Well certainly not the players, the only ones to blame is ourselves and we know that. The plan? You may have noticed Project Fire, it will replace everything on our current realm, Ice-Reaper. Project Fire is a 4.3.4 realm that we are currently working on. We have put a huge effort into this new realm, and we are trying to get it done as quickly as possible so we can bring back a steady population to IceCold-WoW. What can we players do to help? I'm sure you have noticed the "Server Costs" and "Donate" button at the top of our website. The reason that is there is to show everyone our current situation. Due to the lack of donations, we are struggling to meet the server costs which is totaling $650. A small donation from people will give us our chance to keep IceCold up and running, so that we can release our new realm for everyone to play and have countless hours of fun on. Do I get anything for helping with the server costs? Yes, any donation $10 and over will receive an exclusive reward once Project Fire has been released, and only those who supported IceCold-WoW in this time will have this reward. So please, take the time to think about it and maybe share it out to friends that have played IceCold-WoW before, or people who would like to join. We have shown everyone what we have done so far. We don't give release dates anymore. People can ask but at this moment, they wont get an answer.

If everything went extremely bad? i think everyone would know what would happen next.

Pretty much until that list (in the announcement section of the forum) of work we have to do on PF is done, we cant give an exact date. Reason? Because we cant know how long a job might take us, like fixing classes, or scripting dungeons. There is always problems that show up, then they need solving ending up taking some of our time. We are trying to finish it as fast as possible because, yes we do need to release it... as everyone knows, donations are very low, so eventually Ice would have to close unless we can get PF out and rebuild the population.

The VIP sets will get converted over, so if you have VIP 7 on the current Reaper, you will have VIP 7 on Project Fire.

Have you created a realm before? If so how many people did you have working on it? We are not just slapping a realm together, we are creating a realm that is fun and also very good quality. Betas will come.. and you will see what we have done.

Releasing Patch notes won't increase population for the two current realms. The release day of the new realm will because of adverts, players themselves etc. Saying that, eventually we will have patch notes, so I'm not saying we will never do that.

Players don't realize the amount of work and time that's put in to create 100% new content and at that, 1000% better than the old content. Little to no effort was put into the current Reaper content that's been there since 2011/12. On current Reaper, only very few bosses might have spells and very little amount of spells, each boss on Project Fire is scripted and made to be very fun for the players.

This won't be the case once Project Fire is released. Farmed gear will be almost identical in power. Our aim this time is creating a realm to bring in a bigger population.

A leveling realm would be nice, will defiantly be discussed once Project Fire has been released. Expand IceCold and open more options.

The population decreased on Ice a while back. Once Project Fire is finished, adverts will be put up on listing sites, posts on Facebook etc... we will try bring the population back.
