  2. He was wanting some kind of purchasable of farmable damage reduction spells/stats that reduce damage taken by a percentage. The conversation took a turn when people started talking about classes and stats that are good. As for the matter about adding in a selective respawn area: that would require changes to our core settings. After that, we would need to create graveyards for every area/dungeon/map so that players won't release spirit into the abyss. This is something I have been highly considering doing, but it will take some time to get done, as all of our graveyards are deleted out of the database.
  3. I will ask Kenny about this matter, and it will be handled. I apologize for any inconvenience this incident has caused players. As far as punishment goes, it would depend on what happened to actually do anything about it. If he was merely casting spells it wouldn't do anything, as the spell only effects melee damage multipliers and some abilities. Thank you for your report. I will not allow spells to be added to non-Development staff again.

  5. We can't make our own spells. Those are the only two real ways to reduce melee damage. Physical resistance IS armor. We can't make up new statistics at all. The only other things we can do is implement a cap on weapon damage that is lower than the current one, and remove the 3% damage gems so that casters and melee have an even playing field. That would cause a massive increase of difficulty in the content we have right now.
  6. So, not to destroy your idea, but resilience and armor has that covered. Then the fact that there are 4-5 spells that have damage reduction: 15% for 30 seconds(enraged defense), 70% perma, 75% for 10 seconds(shield wall), 90% perma, 99% perma. Those are the options we would have, and quite simply would be way too overpowered.

Update 4/1/2015 -Small changes in NPC names were made to provide a cleaner look for clients. -Quest names and descriptions fixed to accommodate for the removal of the Player Chillzone. -Daily quest added for Deathwing, the world boss. Update 4/15/2015 -Minor changes to quests have been made to offer the correct text, and instructions. -Heirloom Level 3 Weapons were released yesterday, and are hopefully up to par. -Older heirloom items were given the proper model ID's to fit their level. -Fixed an issue that allowed Battle Angel to attack players with equipped Corrupted Ashbringers. -Worked out a fix with Phase Events for Smart scripts. So NPC's will become a bit more useful and tedious to kill. YAY!
  10. So that people know what all is going on with Project Fire: After getting to test it out and run the first set of quests, the general setup is there all classes seem to be in working order. What needs done are a few things that Ryan has had help with: gear set names and several other things to change. Change meaning that there is already a basis for all the items they have set up, but they just need personalized in sets and branded with some type of IceCold branding. About a month ago we were asked to get some stories for fights, which has been going rather slow. In a valuable update with my opinion: The process of upgrading was about 45% done one month ago. Is it possible to get this thing done before the end of the year? Yes. Will it get a heavier push? Maybe. I wasn't told not to say anything about all this, and I wasn't told to tell everyone either, so if this happens to be something that shouldn't be said, delete it. To me this information is valuable to the community as to getting them in-the-know. What you guys, as players, can do is give Ryan and the Reaper development staff suggestions regarding boss fights, gear sets, special fights, unique ideas as to questing or farming, and multiple other things that could be implemented in to make your experience more valuable and diverse. Give them a literal story-line style boss fight, or a quest-line that gives rewards on the way, instead of sitting in the back seat asking, "Are we there yet?"
  11. I will say that a majority of your points are true. Thank you for your input and thought-out feedback. There is one thing to mention: I get absolutely nothing from bettering the game for you guys, other than my own satisfaction of pleasing a population of people with the ideas I come up with in my head. Simply put, I do all my work for everyone else, hoping that it is good enough to use. The content I develop doesn't require purchases to complete or participate in. It may be in some others' minds to make money, but I am not in on it. This thread was made by myself with the backing of Ryan so that I can make more cool content, so nothing in it for me but smiles and feedback. Looking at how things look in this thread, it looks like we will stick with suffocating on the creatures' stat cap. Although I appreciate all the feedback, the turnout was not as pleasing as I had hoped. I hope to see changed minds before it gets too late.
  12. That could be fixed by changing metas into raw attack power or something. Meta slots are $5 a piece, which is really cheap.

  14. That's bug abuse. So yeah, against the rules.
  15. The problem with that is bags that are custom are bugged in the restrictions so it unequips them, and you could lose all your stuff. Also, once in a restricted zone, you can reequip the bags with 1m stats and such. This can be a big problem for us and for the players. The possible stat slash is just for about 20% or more of the stats reduced, so it could be a minor change, but just enough to get us below a certain level. That would allow the other developers and I to design content that is server-wide inclusive. The large amounts of stats will still be large, just not as overwhelmingly large. The next thing I could think of is possibly having iRyan change our core values to higher maximums, similar to the gold cap.
  16. So, just to give you an idea of what can cause that issue: Passwords with Symbols. Change your password on the site to a password that doesn't include symbols, and you will be good to go. If this, for any reason, does not work after the change then you must contact administration about the issue and they will give you your temporary password. For now, the game client doesn't support passwords with symbols but our website does. A-Z, a-z and 0-9 only. Another issue, you need to log in with your account name, which may be your username of the forum account. Do not use your email or it will tell you to patch to Blizzard's current setup. Lastly, please read these instructions carefully, as they will be your best friend if you ever pull up errors. Good luck!
  17. Pets on our core are almost completely broken. You may use pets by using their commands in macros. Things like /petattack, /petfollow and so on will help you maneuver your pet.

  19. He made a ticket and he was not quite sure what "sniping" meant. I explained to him a bit more, and gave him his warning. The issue has been dealt with, and thank you for your report.
  20. The crashing has been given a more permanent fix, and should no longer occur for quite a long time. Please keep in mind that it had to deal with creatures, so please report any bugs with creatures to staff as soon as possible. Information that we can find useful would be the map name, and the creature's name where you found the broken/bugged creature. Thank you very much, and we apologize for any inconveniences that this issue has caused.

  23. This would be more likely if we didn't have as many custom bags as we have. The problem will be implementing a warning for players before they go anywhere that is limited so they don't lose their items. People create bags with stats to hide them...
  24. Did you run as administrator? Also, your firewall or other forms of protection may be preventing the launcher from communication. Troubleshoot by disabling your firewall for 5 minutes, or your antivirus for 5 minutes, then run the launcher.
