Outline: 1) Getting your first set of gear 2) Getting your first weapon 3) Upgrading your gear I) Getting Demonic II)Upgrading to Blessed III) Upgrading to Ravaged IV) Upgrading past Ravaged 4) Offsets I) Destroying the Destroyer! (Recommended) II) VIP Ring Quest III) Getting your upgradable offsets IV) Upgrading these offsets 5) Getting a better weapon I) Upgradable weapon (Thunderfury) II) Getting a Frostmourne! 6) Vote Gear I) Voter's Gear II) Vote Weapons 7) VIP Gear! I) VIP Store Getting Your First Set Of Gear Well! You've made your character and are ready to start playing. What's the first step? Let's get your first set of gear. You start out in Deepholme. Now go to the man up a little bit and to the left. He'll have Melee, Ranged, and Caster starter gear. Got your first set? Now it's time to get some offsets. In this same vendor you can get your starter Offsets. Now let's go on to the next step! Getting Your First Weapon Now that you've got your first set of gear, it's time to get a weapon. Go to the starter vendor to the left at the front of Deepholm. There are starter weapons in this vendor. Buy whichever of these you need and there you have it, you're decked out already! NOTE: Starter Weapons were implemented while I was asleep last night. This part of the guide will be updated when I get home, with stats and stuff. Upgrading Your Gear Getting Demonic Gear: In order to get Demonic Gear (10k stats), use your Teleporter. Go to IceCold Dungeons -> Ramparts. Once here, kill these monsters and they will drop your 10k stat Demonic Gear. This dungeon isn't bad, so you should be able to solo it with ease with your full Starter Gear. Upgrading to Blessed Gear: The main way to get better gear here at IceCold-WoW is by upgrading. In order to upgrade your newfound Demonic gear to the next level, Blessed (19k stats), you'll need to go to two new dungeons. The first of said dungeons is The Deadmines. This can be found in your Teleporter under IceCold Dungeons -> Deadmines. Once here, kill the mobs spread throughout the instance to acquire [Cracked VIP Gem]s. If you kill every mob, you'll get about 50 each run. You'll need 100 to go on to the next instance. Once you've gotten 100 [Cracked VIP Gem]s, you'll move on to Volcanoth's Lair. Kill the mobs here to find 5 [Aepix Crystal]s. As you need less, the droprate is lower than the [Cracked VIP Gem]s. Once you have 100 [Cracked VIP Gem]s and 5 [Aepix Crystal]s, use the item [upgrade Translation] on your Demonic gear (it must be unequipped) to upgrade it to Blessed gear. Upgrading to Ravaged Gear: Now it's time to get Ravaged! Once you've gotten your full Blessed gear, take a break! Go PvP or something :) Whenever you're reading to start the next part of your IceCold journey, getting Ravaged. Teleport to Lightning Halls, which can be found in your Teleporter under IceCold Dungeons -> Lightning Halls. Now kill these mobs (they have 25m each, sometimes people group up to make it faster), who will drop Ravaged Diamonds at a rate that varies per mob but usually hovers around 20%. Generally the best place to farm is the room with a ton of Slags in it as they respawn quite quickly. Once you have 50 of these diacraps, use your Upgrade Translation once again on your Blessed piece to make it into Ravaged, which has 24k stats. Rinse and Repeat until you've gotten full Ravaged gear, congrats! Upgrading past Ravaged Gear: Here is where the farming gets too difficult for most people. If you don't want to spend long amounts of time tediously farming mobs with large amounts of HP and have a very small drop rate, stop here. If you have the willpower to continue, have fun. At this point you can figure out the dungeons based on common sense or asking around, but to clarify it's: Chromatic: Tanaris, Forbidden: Throne of the Tides, and Impeccable: the Nexus. Getting Better Offsets Destroying The Destroyer!: Now it's time to get a free piece of VIP gear! Get the "Destroying The Destroyer!" Quest from the Starter Quest NPCs. Get a group for Deathwing, and kill him. It's that easy! A free VIP trinket! VIP Ring Quest: Want another free piece of VIP gear?! Go to the Starter Quest NPCs and grab Starter Quest. Go to Deadmines, the same place you farmed your Blessed gear. Grab 100 [Cracked VIP Gem]s, and you're done! It's that easy yet again! Enjoy your VIP ring! Getting Your Upgradable Offsets: In order to get offsets that you can upgrade, you'll have to kill Deathwing. This is a large boss (1800m) that will need a group for you to kill. I'd recommend having at least Blessed gear if not Ravaged before you make a group to kill DW. He isn't scripted, but he hits like a truck and you'll need a healer. He has about a 30% chance to drop anything, and when he drops its even % chances between all the melee and caster offsets. Upgrading These Offsets: Upgrading your offsets is a long and tedious process. In order to upgrade a single piece, you'll need 25 IceGold Bars. These bars can be bought from the Currency vendor on the left side of deepholme for 200 IceGold, which can be gotten by killing any Custom Mob. While these upgrades are only a 75% chance of success and will likely take you a very long time to get, they are very very good and are very much worth the trouble. There is no place right now to "farm" IceGold, but any kind of farming in a custom instance will get you it. Also, each time you rank up in PvP you get one IceGold Bar. Getting A Better Weapon Upgradable Weapon: 1) to obtian the Upgradeable weapon you must have 4 or 6 vote points 2) Then you go to the vote shop (you can find the vote shop near the bottom of your teleporter) 3) The upgradeable weapon is called "Thunderfury, Moaning Blade of the Windseeker" 4) Now that you have the Thunderfury, Moaning Blade of the Windseeker go to your teleporter 5)Go to the Valkyrie vendor located beside the Lich king and obtain Upgrade Tanslustion (I believe last time I check it cost 1000 gold) 6) Now go to Icecold Zones and Duengons in there you will find it says (upgrade) Utgrade Pinnicle this is were you NEED to go 7)Now you are farming for Animal Bloods and Fire Elements,these are the key essentails to upgrading your weapon 8) Warning: once you get far enough into the upgrading process you will start to need Icegold and Vote points 9) The maximum upgrade you can get its 15@ once there you can upgrade no more Thanks to Puppy for letting me use his guide in mine! Getting A Frostmourne! (Or a caster weapon): Now let's get you a better weapon than those silly starter weapons. (Ignore this if you're deciding to use the Thunderfury). Go to the Starter Quest NPCs, and grab the "Starting Weapon (melee)" or the "Starting Weapon (caster)" quests. Now, go to the Stockades in your Teleporter under IceCold Dungeons -> The Stockades. You're going to need 200 [ice Shard Cluster]s and 50 [Elementium Shard]s. It's a bit of a long quest but trust me, it's worth it! When you're done with this turn whichever quest you got in for whatever weapon you want. If you're a caster it doesn't matter, but if you're melee I'd definitely recommend getting the Frostmourne. Vote Gear! Voter's Gear: Vote! It's easy, and can result in the awesome gear and weapons I'm about to tell you about! There was Voter's Gear recently added, at the cost of 60 Vote Points. At 5 votes per 12 hours, this gear will take you a measly 6 days to get, only requiring a max of 10 minutes of work per day. This Voter's Gear is actually the best nonVIP in the game right now, even better than Impeccable! Each class has its own Voter's Gear. Voter's Weapons: There are several weapons available to people who vote. In this guide I am only going to mention one, as it is widely accepted to be the best available. [@@Reclaimed Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood] is a very good 2h weapon that is very slow, and therefore accepted to be the best nonVIP weapon available. I'd suggest getting this weapon as soon as you possibly can as it is only a measly 20 VPs, only taking you 2 days to get! VIP Gear! VIP Store: All I'm going to do is link you to the VIP store, as that holds all you need to know about VIP gear. I know alot more then i knew before yeah just checked guide cause i was sorta having trouble with gear and weapons but i was just wondering if it could help it did. I started without a guide at first i learn stuff fast just i forget to check the rules!! i got banned for 2 hours cause of spawn killing lol but that was a while ago
