Once again, openwow let me down again this morning. I do everything right and it looks like it works, it just won't validate the vote. Openwow sucks

Its not Icecold's fault. It is openwow's fault and that's why I think it needs to be replaced.

I get the same thing from OpenWoW on several occasions. I don't know why but it won't register my vote. I have lost many votes with that site. I would like it if that site was replaced with a more dependable site.

I don't support this. This can and will lead to abuse of power and will ultimately need GM oversight anyways. Bottom line, server events need to be hosted by the GM's. If they don't want to do it, give it up for people who do. I understand it is difficult and really requires more then one GM, 3-4 being ideal. In some ways it would be nice to have "eventmaster" ranks to assist the GM's. but this isn't something that can be turned on and off very easily, needs admin input. I say if there are going to be more events along with higher player traffic, maybe its time to hire a couple more GMs.

It seems to me there are too many here that are overly sensitive. "White boy" is not that derogatory, so I think /ignore is the best recourse.

OpenWow is still giving me troubles. Usually in the morning it won't count my vote. Does it only allow for one vote a day?

Whoa, this affected me also. Lost everything in the guild bank for Icecold bawses. I don't think I have any screenshots but Derrick might. He is still GM on that guild at the moment. Is there anyway we can get that stuff back? We had four tabs of ravaged and one tab of deathwing stuff that was combined with arena stuff. Thanks for posting this, I didn't know this was a problem. Haven't check the guild bank in a couple of weeks.

That's not true. In retail when they do tournaments for prizes and such, everyone is given the same level gear. An example is everyone receives the same level of arena gear. That way nobody in the tournament has a gear advantage and wins are based only on the players skill. That gives everyone in the tournament an equal shot at winning whatever prizes they are giving away.

I support going to a bow for reasons I mentioned in another thread. But is there any reason why there can't be both?

Can we get an honor bow (Catalysm Bow) in the honor gear vendor. The gun is great but can only be used by hunters as far as I know and some people don't really like the guns. Other classes like the bow to add stats. I personally prefer the bow because it doesn't make as much noise. Other then that they do the same thing.

Second. Counterwow, you are correct that this is not that big of an issue. That is why I stated I was on the fence about reporting. I really didn't report but just decided to contribute my side of the story to this thread. I don't think anyone is calling for Diego's head on a stick. But I think a warning of what is acceptable in necessary in this case. Freezing without warning isn't really acceptable. Testing is fine, just inform everyone prior to it.

I was on the fence about reporting him also. I wasn't really upset that I was frozen but there was no announcement of the testing given prior to us being frozen. I had no idea the Qq and Ventus was testing something. Ventus and Developer had been shooting those "drake rockets" for quite some time in the arena prior to this incident. Counterwow, Ventus did "yell" that announcement after we had been frozen, never before. I went back and looked at the chats after I was frozen. Even after Ed and I were frozen, it took a while for Ventus to say why we were frozen. Honestly if you want to test something and not be bothered, that is fine just say something. Otherwise, go to another area in the world to do the test. It's so easy for the GM to tele and summon somewhere else. Lastly, Team speak is not the proper medium to inform players on whats happening. Not everyone has it nor am I going to use it.

yes, I have used other browsers. Like I said, it is very inconsistent. It will work sometimes and others it won't. Something is wacky with their site, not our browsers.

I am having the same problem, the openwow site is very inconsistent. I do everything right and it doesn't give confirmation to award the vote here. Perhaps its time to ditch that site for another vote site.

I have seen one major problem with all of this even though it is nice to see a lot of support. Derrick needs to make his own formal ban appeal. That would be the appropriate place to support him and make logical arguments for his unbanning.

I have been having problems with two of the vote sites WoWstatus and openwow. I am a very regular voter and today I voted I didn't get credit for these two sites. Everything is working find on getting to the sites and entering the captcha vote but when I don't receive credit when I click to confirm. I have checked the referral test on this site and my system is fine. Can someone here please contact the sites and see what is wrong, it is something that I wouldn't be allowed to report to them. This is the first problem I have had in months, I am sure the two sites made a change that needs to be addressed. Thanks!

I kind of agree and disagree. If people would get a vip 7 and farm for their alts then that would benefit the server since more people would be buying the gear sets and donating. Also, I would rather see the gear upgrade items (ex. power tokens, ice clams) to be account bound. making the BoE would allow them to be for sale and that would affect the economy. Account bound would allow farming gear for alts with a main but it would be limited to that account. It would at least give you something to do with all the tokens collected while doing daily quests. Every gear piece after ravaged is BoP during the upgrade anyways so I can't see it affecting the server that much.

I would like to ask/suggest that upgrade chances on icecold items like rings and trinkets be raised higher then 75%. Maybe its me and I have bad luck but I had two out of four upgrade attempts fail. For those who are not VIP and want to upgrade, it takes a long time to collect that many icecold bars. Though I do appreciate that it is a bit easier now that we have daily quests and icecold rewards for more monsters. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated!

well the 3.3.5 realm is offline at the moment so that is probably why you can't log in. If you want to play icecold, you will have to play Reaper for the time being.
