  1. Every player is encouraged to be helpful to other people who ask. No need for a rank, simply help people :)
  2. While I can't say for certain that nobody's damage changed (because I don't actually play the server myself) I can confirm that there was no deliberate nerfs or changes of any kind. So if your damage actually has changed, we would have no idea why and so cannot really do anything about it, simple as that.
  3. Hello, Not sure where you heard that the character deletions are some kind of "problem we cannot fix". That system is there deliberately to prevent the character database inflating too much with abandoned characters.
  4. Hi, Unfortunately we have no more information than you for a problem like this. An outside company does the actual card charging, and all we would see is the same "declined" message as you on our end. What country are you in, and what kind of card is it?
  5. Yeeeeeeeeeeey
  6. You have supplied good basic stats on what does/doesn't work. However what you're missing for a project like that is an actual instance scripter to actually carry it out :P Nobody has ever applied to us as an instance scripter, or any kind of scripter in fact. Literally nobody. Even when offers were posted on outside websites.
  7. Those are spam bots. They are a problem for most forums. Either humans or bots create accounts on as many forums as possible and post spam advert links. There are anti-spam systems checking registrations, and catch about 90% of them, but some get through and have to be reported/deleted later. There was 681 spambot registration attempts just today alone. So yea, it could be a lot worse.
  8. Transmogrification is now available on Reaper Transmogrification allows players to change the appearance of their weapons and armor to the appearance of other items, without changing the stats. Don't like the look of your best sword? No problem! Simply obtain a sword that you do like the look of, and you can transmogrify your sword to look like it. To transmogrify gear, first obtain items whose appearance you wish to impose on your equipped gear, and take them to a transmogrifier. This NPC will display a menu with all your currently equipped gear. Pick the item you wish to change the appearance of, and a second menu will list all gear in your bag that is eligible to transmogrify it. You then click your chosen item and confirm the transmogrification. You must have a [Transmogrification Token] to perform a transmogrification. These can be obtained in various ways through the game, one of the quickest being voting. Current Rules The character must be able to equip both items. Both items must have stats. Rings, Trinkets, Necks, Bags and Shirts cannot be transmogrified. Items must share the same armor type (examples: plate for plate, cloth for cloth) Weapons must be the same weapon type (exceptions: ranged weapons, swords, axes, maces) Guns, Crossbows, and Bows can be used to transmogrify Guns, Crossbows, or Bows. Swords, Axes, and Maces can be used to transmogrify Swords, Axes, or Maces. Main hand weapons can only be used to transmogrify Main hand weapons. Off-hand weapons can only be used to transmogrify Off-hand weapons. One handed weapons can be used to transmogrify a Main hand or Off-hand weapon. Using an item for transmogrify makes it soulbound. Using an item for transmogrify makes it non-refundable. Using an item for transmogrify makes it non-tradable. Fishing Poles cannot be transmogrified. Fishing Poles cannot be used to transmogrify. The displayed enchant will be that of the currently equipped item. There may be individual items that are excluded from being transmogrified on the basis that they were originally added to the game as absurdities. (examples: a weapon that looks like a fish, or a chest piece that is invisible)

  10. Yeah you know staff aren't going to reply to every suggestion saying if we are using it or not... If a suggestion is used its just implemented and announced at some point.
  11. Reaper was quite similar a long time ago. However it's very different now.
  12. Someone else suggested this a while ago too. I plan to research into it a bit. You're right, it is a difficult project if undertaken, but probably do-able in some form.
  13. You are mostly right, but one key issue. The server is trying to send the box. But it's not sending the information in the correct format, and your game crashes when it reads the bad info. It's like this because opcode formatting is very difficult and can take a long time to figure out.
  14. The droprate token is not possible yet due to some technical limitations with how the system works. I'm not sure what you mean by "fixing the custom weapon/armor. Set the armor boundaries at 60's 70's gear". Transmog, although possible in a sort of hacky way, has not been implemented because it requires a lot of planning and work, and we're not ready to implement it at this time. "Fix all the broken instances" is kind of like saying "solve world peace". Many thousands of work hours and extensive knowledge of scripting is required to fix everything. Nobody on staff is an SAI scripter, and none have ever applied for developer. Additional malls have no performance impact if they're mostly empty. The Blacksmith idea is essentially the same as the system already there, with different weapons/mats. If the existing upgrader simply required tokens instead of the other materials, and covered more weapons/armor, it's the exact same result. Ingame upgradeable VIP gear is not currently possible with the automated system for VIP level upgrades and transfers. The code needs to be made much more sophisticated to work with that. As far as I can see, the rest of this threads suggestions look okay
  15. Your idea is totally fine, just the dropped items being equivalent to VIP5/6 would never happen. Items as good as higher VIP sets becoming obtainable in-game defeats the exclusivity of the VIP sets.
  16. What you could do is create topics with specific things you'd like to see, such as certain locations, instances, mobs, themes, etc. That kind of thing gets ideas and plans going (staff do read the forums all the time). Topics screaming for "new stuff" don't.
  17. Go to your Game Panel and change your expansion to Cataclysm

  19. Welcome back :)
  20. The post is about WoWStatus not working, not Openwow. WoWStatus updated their site on a large scale and are working out some bugs
  21. This report has been dealt with. Closed
  22. There has been an increase in the number of support requests filed about this, and we need to make it clear for anyone in the future. As you should know if you read the rules, the sharing or selling of accounts is absolutely not supported or advised in any way. This means that if you share your account, sell your account, or buy an account, absolutely ALL responsibility for handling it is on you. As you know, a valid email that you control is needed for you to properly own an account. If you don't control the email, the person who does can reset your password at any time and you'll never get it back. An email can only be changed by the person who controls the current email. That means if you're buying an account, you should ensure the email is changed to your own by the original owner. This is again your own responsibility. IceCold will not ever change an account email without absolute ownership proof and a valid reason. Any support requests asking for an email change because they bought or shared an account, will be denied immediately. Please keep the above in mind if you're considering buying or selling an account.
  23. Try switching off the AV completely and then running it, to see if it's the cause
  24. To begin with, this isn't something we can just "make" one day. Someone said above that we just do it through the database. That's incorrect, ranks are defined through system code. This requires actual development and testing time to achieve. Secondly, it wouldn't be a permanent account rank. There's just no way we're granting some commands to player accounts to be active 24/7. People who hold the commands may be trustworthy, but a fit of anger at someone in the arena overrides any self-control. An event helper rank or command set would be something a GM switches on/off for the person. They would only have it available to them when actually doing an event. Abuse of anything like that wouldn't have that much tolerance. One offense and you're out, forever. Other than that, the rest of your points would be fairly close to how it would be handled.
