Either humans or bots create accounts on as many forums as possible and post spam advert links. There are anti-spam systems checking registrations, and catch about 90% of them, but some get through and have to be reported/deleted later. There was 681 spambot registration attempts just today alone. So yea, it could be a lot worse. camren 1
