Hello, It's from a recent patch to the core system. We have reduced 80% of the causes now, and are working to get the last of them fixed quickly.

Downtime Yesterdays large downtime was due to a DDoS attack on the datacenter where IceCold is hosted. This has been fixed now. Upcoming core patch A large patch will soon be applied to Reaper to fix or improve hundreds of issues and features. It should crash much less, fix some spells, and make more broken features work. It also uses a new map system which fixes any mob movement issues (like mobs going through walls). It will also give major boosts to player HP and possibly other stats. Together with spell fixes, it should balance out classes while we all enjoy higher HPs! VIP 7 VIP 7 will be arriving extremely soon on Reaper. It will be displayed for a few days before being sold. It has 220,000 base stats and will sell for $300 USD. Upgrades to VIP7 will be allowed through the upgrade system. Donations Over recent weeks, donations to the server have fallen dramatically. We moved to a new, higher-quality host 2 weeks ago and this is driving up running costs. If donations continue to fall, eventually we will no longer be able to keep up with running costs and will be forced to close IceCold servers. We are appealing for players to try and contribute whatever they can. Even a $5 mount helps greatly. And we'd like to remind VIPs that they can upgrade their VIP set and only pay the difference, automatically: http://www.icecold-w...ade-your-vip-r6 New content The core change a short while back has enabled us to efficiently create new in-game items and content. Once the patches mentioned in this post are all completed, the focus is on new stuff! Dungeons, vendors, items, farm sets, donation items, all that! Oh, I know why it is showing 0. When you click the vote site button, it creates the vote log and sends you to the site. It doesnt give the point (i.e change it from 0 to 1) until it registers a vote. Sorry to hear about that :( I will add a couple of notes: We're going to take another look at VIPs and see what still needs buffing to prevent under powering for the worse classes. What class is your under powered VIP? The new core has given us a massive potential for new content. We're still figuring out the last of the technical bits, but it's one of the top plans now. So do check back all the time to see what's in store :D

Heytaras GM was terminated because she was not working well with players, and then said bad things about an admin in public. End of story and let's move on..

I think they did say one of their staff carries a firearm though :P It's guarded by fences, cameras and security guards.

There seems to be a general idea among players that IceCold is running from the admin's PCs or something and any lag is our internet connection. You have any idea how horrible that situation would be on us?! :P No, IceCold is running from a much better place, a fully-equipped high-tech datacenter in Pennsylvania, US. This bug should be fixed now

As they've pointed out above, we're still working on stabalizing the core and it's stats. That's a very hard thing to do. Shamans were very OP with that mastery so we took it out for now until it's properly taken care of. Although we did not do anything to stats or any other classes. We just disabled a couple of spells.

We've been receiving increased reports of scam attempts on players in IceCold. They usually claim to be able to give you free VIP or buy you VIP and will then ask for your account username and password to do it. These are all scams. First, there is no way to get free VIP. The system is completely locked down securely and there have been 0 successful attempts so far at cheating the system. Second, if they want to buy you VIP, they only need your character name to enter when buying. They DO NOT need your login. PLEASE be careful of this. Recovering a scammed account can be difficult (proving you owned it) and you may not be able to get it back.

Thank you for the suggestions :) We're busy at the moment fixing core issues as he pointed out above, but we'll be working on improvement like this afterwards. We're aware of Bloodthirst and plan to completely kill its damage effect (gives no damage increase at all) seeing as there is such an imbalanced AP between gear sets

We moved host today and Reaper is on a much more powerful dedicated server in a Seattle data center. This should clear up any server lag issues that were happening recently. Also, our old host was hacked just after we moved Reaper out of it. The servers were completely destroyed when this happened. Unfortunately the Screamer realm was still on one of them and is now gone. We're really sorry about that.
