Click the button that looks like a refresh key. It'll install the right patch of WoW to play. If you already have WoW, put the icecold-wow launcher into the WoW folder and try again.

I wouldn't say the best community, but Icecold-wow definitely has a great staff. I've been here for over a year now and I still love it. I can't stop playing it, my only concern is their current lack of GMs. But I love ice as well, it's easily my favorite too.

From what I saw there was only a little bit of player DR in the first picture. Besides that I see nothing reportable. The most they could do is mute him for player DR.

Well, the GM applications were open and you didn't apply so I thought it to be safe to assume that you didn't wish to. I thought this to be a somewhat safe assumption and I apologize for saying what I believed to be a viable possibility. Again, I wouldn't know weather or not there was a reason for your inactivity. I usually learn from the other players when a staff member goes inactive for reasons they don't wish to go public. I never heard anything of the sort so from the resources I have I also thought this to be true. Other staff members have become inactive for no reasons such as Puppy (Puppy love). I apologize for once again making an assumption I thought to be a safe one. If I offended you or insulted you with the assumptions I made then I duly apologize.

"Gentle Players" can stay just that. A player. The community can be improved by friendlier people yes, and I mean he did help plenty of people out. But from what I saw, alot of what he did as a GM can be done the exact same way as a player. ( Of course I can't say this for sure because I don't know what goes on behind the scenes.) There's no point in him behind re-hired. If he wanted to be re-hired he would've applied, which from what I saw he didn't. There's no point in us really discussing this any further.

He is an Ex-GM, no longer a GM. Also, Molten, Eli, and Tiri all have equal or greater prior knowledge of people. Also, if he was one of the best GM's then howcome he was so inactive? Just helping people with information isn't the only think that makes a GM good. It also has to do with how active you are and how much you contribute to the server. Players alone are able to give information and have great prior knowledge of people.

Mariusrex21052, Have you tried reinstalling the World of Warcraft 4.0.6 Cataclysm patch through the Icecold-wow launcher? If not I suggest you try this. To do it, I suggest you make a Folder and title it WoW 4.0.6 or Icecold-wow. Then, download the launcher and move it into this new folder. After that, open the launcher in the empty folder, you'll see a button that looks similar to the refresh button. When you hover over this button it'll say "Redownload Game Patch" or something similar to that, you'll want to click it. After you click it it'll start downloading the game, then your screen will go black for a few minutes. Just let this happen. After you enter the world (which will take some time) I suggest you just leave WoW open and go do something else because when you download it this way it just puts it what's required to play. It's not actually fully installed. You'll want to let it get to about 50-70% before you really start playing. To check what % it's at you must be in the world, then you'll just hover over the icon next to the red question mark, it should be labeled something along the lines of System. If this doesn't solve your issue then I suggest you open a new topic to get more attention for your issue. Best of luck!

You need to download 3.5.5 from an outside source. Once you have it installed it should just let you log into it.

There's 3 GMs currently (I believe) and they're usually busy with trying to make new content. They don't really have the time to go off and create an event that would be really tough to balance. Once more staff gets hired we might have a chance to see new events come up, and more content regarding events.

Well first I suggest you make a folder and label it Icecold-wow. Secondly download the launcher and put it in that folder. Then open the launcher, In the bottom left you'll see something that looks like the refresh button, it'll say redownload patch. Click this. It installs 4.0.6. When installing your screen will go black for a few minutes, be patient. Once in game the game is still downloading so for the first few hours your gameplay will be a bit slow, again, be patient.

Connormax, try the error fix link in my signature. See if it helps, it has a guide for each error and how to fix it. If it still doesn't work than I'm not sure what you could do.

I agree with this. But I disagree with the "Why not have access to all spells" for the GM that's taking the role of the boss. I feel like they should have 5-10 set spells set up prior to the event.

I've stopped using the launcher, I just use one of the wow.exes in my icecold-wow folders. As long as you've opened it with the launcher once it'll have switched the realm list to Icecold-wow and it'll work fine. I have no issues with opening like this. Try this out and if it works there you go. Other than that, I have no idea as to what's happening there either.
