I've made my own server before (testing purposes), I taught myself spells all the time without any problems. It was 4.0.6 and not any other expansion. I don't see how everyone's problem is that "GM's can't learn spells" even though I included that a few times already. Atleast you're here telling me that the DEV himself can't teach things, made me happy not having to repeat myself.

If any server hired 10-year old GM's, it wouldn't reach where Icecold has reached. Ever. 1. I know they don't, and it's not that they need "spawn" commands, it's that they need commands to learn spells. Solution: Ask one of the Devs to create a special account/teach the specific spells to the GM's, or to take an hour a day to make the event THEMSELVES. (I know that's not their jobs but; you know, it's for the server!) 2. Why in the world would we need custom NPC's? This is basically a PvP Event but the GM is acting like an NPC, nothing else. No need for a solution. 3. This is a GM Event, it's impossible to "one shot" in a GM event, might aswell go farm Deadmines, mate. Solution: Gear is limited & GM's will have HIGH health. (Battle will go on for atleast 10 mins or one of the teams get defeated. 4. I agree, the server isn't Blizzard-based, or this would've been one heck of an event. Solution: 1 healer is not enough for a group of 10 men, get 4/10 of the team healers, 2/10 tanks, 4/10 DPS. This can change to the way the team would like, it's just an example. Solution #2: Healers will get a bit extra as a reward due to lack of healers in Icecold. (these may not be 100% but I'll think of more)

That's how I know you didn't understand what I tried to accomplish. The GM's have NOTHING to gain spawning a boss for you and it's VERY boring considering there are going to be morons pissing not only the GM, but everyone off. The event is basically a "all vs. one" "Fight to the death" type of event. There are NO rules except for the gearing and any spell is allowed for the players. I also agree with Kirito, the point of the event is to be all "boss" like, you can't see Lich King running around spamming flash heal to full health then fighting again, it's just lame. (Addition: GM's should be to stuns, silents, interrupts and other CC's.)

See, you're not supposed to use class spells. That's forbidden for the "boss", instead you have to get a LOT of health (you're basically a boss, have the same amount of /more than Deathwing's health. Dont go all crazy with attack speed, focus more on using spells that'd do damage equal to atleast :- 15% of the tank's health, 25% to the melee DPS' health, 30% to the caster DPS' health (they're squishier), and 40% to the healers (Squishiest but they need to know how to heal properly). There is no "I" in "Group". The whole group gets the reward. Low-ranked (I think) GM's can't learn spells, which is why Admins could teach them the spells, I can bring up a whole boss up if the GM's require help. A lot of bosses have heals, it heals them for about 5-10% at most, and that heal is Heal Over Time, I'd say around 15 seconds.

Okay so I know you get this a lot, the topic is always up -__- When you're reading a GM App you are 90% likely to read that they will make events, people asking for a rank to make events and so on (no disrespect, everyone loves events but it's getting a lame excuse for a rank) Like I said; everyone loves events. The games, the prizes, the lulz. But if you've ever been a gm hosting an event (or a player in some cases), it gets boring after the 3rd or 4th time. (For you not for the attendants) So why not make an event that the GM him/herself can join in? Here's my idea. The GM (boss) will morph himself to a famous boss (ex. Illidan/Lich King), and the attendants (players) will try to kill him (ofcourse with limited gear so vip7's don't 1 shot the poor mr gm =( and ruin the event) What the GM needs to host the event:- *Creativity. (Make up speaches before you cast a spell for example) *A set of 7-10 spells for the respective boss. (You'll be using the spells to try and kill the players) *5-10 players. (you can put them in groups, or even make a tournament and make the bosses even harder.) *HAVE FUN! (If you're not having fun making an event, you're not likely to make another. TIP: Look how happy the other players are and try to blend in.) What the players need to join the event:- *No VIP Gear (as in nothing donated, NOTHING, only ingame items that EVERYONE can get) *atleast 150k HP (So you can do something for your group) *Again, HAVE FUN! Error #134 Error #134 is usually caused by a corrupted file. However, we have also seen this error message being caused by hard drive issues such as bad sectors or due to bad/mismatched RAM. To address this issue, try each of the solutions below. Step 1 - Remove and Repair In the example above, the file expansion3-speech-enUS.MPQ appears to be the source of the corruption. Find and delete this file. These files can generally be found in your World of Warcraft\Data or World of Warcraft\Data\enUS directory. Note: Do not delete the entire enUS folder, doing so may require you to reinstall the game. Once the file has been deleted, run the Repair Utility found in your World of Warcraft directory. Running the Repair Utility will check your game files and replace them if they are found to be corrupt. If you do not have the most current version of the Repair Utility installed, you can download it from us directly. Once the repair is finished, try playing again. Step 2 - Check for RAM Errors Doing a scan of the computer's physical memory can help you identify memory (RAM) problems which could cause this issue. We are tentatively recommending users try memory scan utilities such as the Windows Memory Diagnostic, available directly from Microsoft. We recommend the extended test suite, which takes the longest time to run but is the most thorough test suite available with this tool. Step 3 - Update Motherboard/Video Drivers Make sure you have all the latest Motherboard/Video drivers. Motherboard/Video drivers will be available on your system manufacturer's site. It is important that you follow all precautions given by your manufacturer when updating drivers or firmware. You also want to make sure you have all the available updates from Microsoft. Step 4 - Uninstall, Scandisk and Defrag, Reinstall, and Patch Before following these steps, users should uninstall World of Warcraft by going to: Start -> Programs -> World of Warcraft -> Uninstall World of Warcraft Once the uninstallation is complete, go into your hard drive, into the folder called "Program Files," and then delete the entire "World of Warcraft" folder. Now you're set to run a thorough scandisk and defrag of your hard drive(s). You will probably find it helpful to disable your screen saver and power management features before you scandisk or defrag. Sometimes Windows will restart the defragmentation and/or scandisk if your screen saver or power management kicks in. You may find a full set of instructions on how to run a ScanDisk and Defrag. Once you are done with the Scandisk and Defrag, please reinstall World of Warcraft normally. After the game is installed, log-in to the game to automatically download the latest patch. I was going through my WoW Folder and this is what I did to fix it, it pissed me off at first, but here it is. Go to the place where your WoW Folder is and Right Click > Properties. After that, try to find Read-Only, and uncheck it. -__________- It works, promise. Error #132 Error #132 is a problem which is caused by your computer being unable to correctly read & save the “temporary files” that your game requires to run. We’ve found that many WOW games which have been played once are showing this error, because your PC cannot handle the temporary files which it requires to run. This means that if you are seeing the 132 error, you need to basically repair any of the problems that are leading the issue to show – a process that can be done by using the steps outlined on this page. What Causes World Of Warcraft 132 Errors? The errors you’re seeing are caused by your computer not being able to correctly process the “temporary files” that the WOW game requires to run. You need to realize that all versions of WOW will use a series of “Temporary Files” to help the game run. These files will store everything from battle data to your profile information, and are highly important for the smooth operation of the game. In order to ensure that this error does not show, you need to make sure that any offending files / settings are fixed, and that your PC can run WOW properly. Please note that if you haven’t successfully gotten into the game yet, these folders may not exist. If that is the case, please move on to the next step. Step 2 - Update Your Video Drivers It’s recommended that you repair any of the video drivers that your computer will have. Most of the time, World Of Warcraft will be so advanced that the current video drivers that you will have on your PC will be unable to correctly process – making it recommended that you update the video drivers of your system. To do this, you should click onto either ATI or NVidia and download the latest drivers that your computer will use to run. Step 3 - Re-Install The World Of Warcraft Program In order to fix the problem you’re seeing, you should look to re-install the World Of Warcraft program. This can be done by clicking onto “Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs” and removing the WOW application from, your PC. This will remove the program from your PC, and then allow you to re-install the application onto your system from the installation CD. This will refresh any of the programs that your game will use to run – allowing your computer to run much smoother as a result. Step 4 - Clean Out The Registry - Download a Registry Cleaner and run it. This is highly recommended to help your computer run as smoothly as possible. The “registry” is a large database which stores all the important settings that your computer will use to run. Although the registry is a highly important part of the Windows system, which is used to store all the important settings that your software & games require to run. World of Warcraft keeps a large number of important settings inside the registry, which stores everything from your keyboard layout to your player profile settings. In order to make sure the 132 error does not show again, its’ recommended that you use a registry cleaner to fix any of the problems that your system may have inside by downloading & running a registry cleaner tool. Error #0 Error #0 is a basic error and can be caused by anything. In most cases it is reffering to being unable to connect to the server because it's being blocked by a firewall or anti-virus software. While in other cases it temporary just lost track of the connection and thus doesnt know what to do. Possible sollution: - Check your connection if warcraft is being blocked. - Ignore the error and restart the game. note: Mostly after error 0 the real error appears when restarting. - Check your pc if it works propperly - Delete cache / WTF folder. A real sollution to error #0 isnt there .. cause it isnt a real error of the game. ERROR #0 (0x85100000) Assertion Failure" is caused by entering email address instead of account name on login screen.

Instead of giving a rank and deleting another one (which is basically our only option for this idea), we can do this in many different ways, but need to be thought about first. 1. The GM/Devs team make a special place for the event, a place where the 2v2/1v1 event happens, and to their side people who are waiting their turn with PvP OFF and cannot enter the battlefield except by being given a card (item) by the "eventmaster". The card can be given to an NPC which will teleport him to the battlefield, where they'll face their opponent. (Card can be easily added as another item, the NPC might be a little tough but shouldn't be too hard; I know how items work but never worked on NPC's on my server) Pros: *Simple, efficient. *No PvP for those who are waiting. *Doesn't need a rank/GM whatsoever. Cons: *Players (trolls) may refuse to leave the battlefield. *Players (trolls) may keep their cards and use it to ruin the next event. (which is why I'm proposing it lasts for an hour, but the "eventmaster" is going to loose them so we have a bit of a problem) *Players are going to look for a glitch to get out of the waiting zone, since that's what people do these days, look for glitches. Well everyone said yes, but I'm not gonna say yes, but I'm not gonna say a no either. Hear me out, most servers have 3-5 ranks. Ranks cannot be added/removed, just not given. So basically they stay there even if you don't want them there. So all the ranks are used on Icecold considering we have different GM ranks (if not then the idea will work) and rank 4 (sometimes 5) is the Admin/Dev rank. Rank one is the VIP rank and the other 2 (sometimes 3) ranks are for GMs. So it's not going to be easy for the owners to make a rank, or change it considering he has to change one completely.

Thanks for the tip on the Youtube thing. I used Sony Vegas Pro 12 for the editing, it's quite simple to use since all I really did was add text and cut the video into segments. Fraps was used to record it aswell. If you'd like to join the team, feel free! :) Also I can make Signatures if you'd like one, all I need is an SS of your character ingame and you'll have it by 30-45 minutes lmao.

Hey guys, this isn't gonna get many views but hopefully we can end up with something. Let's start off simple? I'm Pvper (ingame name), I played Icecold a while ago, got not too decent but acceptable gear and now I'm back because of a friend of mine (I call him raduvich). So uh, I'm almost done downloading WoW 4.3.4 and to be honest, I wanna start making videos about Icecold. What videos am I planning to make? *Helpful tips & tricks in Icecold *What goals you should put for yourself as a newbie *Gold guides (3 levels, one for newbies, one for the decently geared, and one for the low vips) [High level vips you know what to do] I'm obviously not gonna put all of them up, you guys are probably bored reading 3 of them and if you did, you have too much time in your hands.
