Do not use Recount if you are updated to 4.2.2. It makes you lag severely when you engage into combat.

I hear on 3.3.5 servers customs can be made just you need a patch to fix the weapons. The gear is easy :)

Deathwing does enough damage as is. Its just that a lot of players have Dodge. That is what makes him so easy to Melee. Casters are easy to hit because they have no Agility on their gear. Agility gives the dodge :P

Nope the launcher stays. If you go to retail then you will have to delete Cache and IceCold.exe in your World of Warcraft folder when trying to get on IceCold again. The custom patch does nothing to retail wow.

For Funservers, admins make their own weapons called Custom Weapons. In order for some players to see those custom items they need a patch from the launcher. What the Custom Patch does is make the Custom Items usable by other players. If you don't have the custom item patch you will get an error like "Retrieving Item Information.

Cataclysm brought along a lot more challenges in coding from what I hear. Also you need a launcher for the Custom Item patch. If you don't have a launcher then you cannot use custom items. I always had to use a launcher on 3.3.5 servers.

You need the launcher installed for the Custom Item patch. It wont effect retail. To get back to retail just change your realmlist to us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com

There is no point in that. You can just wait for your cooldowns before dueling : / If Retail WoW does not do that, then why would we :P
