Cata servers (that have custom items) need launchers because the 4.x game works differently to 3.3.5, and does not work with private servers and custom items. Therefore the launcher applies patches (that don't affect retail) to enable it to work

To fix the ICC, it pretty much has to be rewritten. I know the group that maintain our core are re-writing the Cata core, but I have no timeframe on it being stable

The max health an NPC can have is 2100 million. Any more and it doesnt work. It's a limitation of 32-bit servers

Visual Studio is the standard for Windows. It's a paid program, but VERY easy to obtain a serial key..

Hello, The Marks are simply used as a 'lock' for the vendors. You should be voting for the other stuff in the vote shop, not the marks. Why wait rhat long to get some access to gear you could farm in way less time? :)

IceCold-Screamer has opened as a BETA realm. This means that the base work has been completed, but there is not really any custom dungeons/areas yet. We just want the basics tested. It is a very PvP-focused realm. No custom items. Almost fully blizzlike environment

When you start the launcher, it checks that Wow.exe is in the same folder as the launcher itself, so if Wow.exe was in, e.g.: C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftWow.exe Then the launcher must be at: C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftIceColdLauncher.exe
