[Mac] Please Help! install confusion

I am trying to connect to the server and i followed all of the instructions on the MacPatch.zip file but i still cannot connect; the Guide.txt file said i have to be running 4.2.2 but i have no idea how to install up to 4.2.2 and no further, every time i try to patch to 4.0.1 it just automatically patches to 4.3.3. i kinda bummed out by this and would like to get some clarity. thank you so much!

Try running the wow launcher only to download the tools, and have you tried running the launcher with a 4.3.3 client. at this moment i have forgotten if it supports 4.3.3 or 4.3.2
